An exciting leasing opportunity for four temporary container units located at a focal point along the key pedestrian route between the city centre and Copr Bay. The units are targeted at local food and drink start-up businesses.

This temporary parklet will breathe new life into the former St David’s Shopping Centre site until the final redevelopment of the area is completed. 

The new pop-up park will be ideally situated on a busy key route for pedestrians between the city centre and the emerging Copr Bay phase one district, including the Swansea Arena, which is expected to attract over 230,000 new visitors to the city a year, and plenty of new car parking spaces. 

Moreover, local start-up businesses that take space at the four temporary units will also benefit from pop-up events and the increased footfall and spending they will bring.

The food units will be set within the Parklet amongst a backdrop of planting set around five distinct landscapes, Gower Hedgebank, Cliff Escarpment, Flowering Meadow, Dry Heathland and Dry Woodland Edge. The planting for these different landscapes will enhance the biodiversity within the Parklet and the surrounding area. In addition to the planting, the Parklet will feature a rain garden, living walls and roofs, public seating and two living bike shelters. The Parklet will offer a place for nature and a place for people to experience nature, combined with the opportunity to sample various foods and beverages in a tranquil and pleasant environment.
